Dr. Albert Quintana has been awarded an ICREA Academy. The recognition, which is awarded for five years, promotes and rewards the research excellence of professors at public universities in Catalonia. Thus, the program contributes to intensifying the research carried out by researchers who are in an active and expansive stage of their career, reducing their teaching duties and providing financial support.
brain awareness week
To celebrate the Brain Awareness Week, we have organized a series of online talks, together with the CORE de Salut Mental. Please, find here a summary of each talk and register to attend.
On the other hand, thanks to a grant we received from the FENS and the DANA Foundation, we will be doing workshops about the nervous system for 10 year-old kids in three different schools.

Who are we?
Around 200 people at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, investigating how the nervous system works. We do research to elucidate, from different perspectives, those mechanisms involved in motor and cognitive alterations, and mental disorders.
